Alcoholics Anonymous Cleveland District Office is an Ohio non-profit corporation established in 1945 to provide a physical location for Alcoholics Anonymous servicing Cuyahoga, Geauga, and Lake counties. This is where the “Twelfth Step” phones are answered, and members can get AA literature and information. Alcoholics Anonymous Cleveland District Office is not affiliated with the General Service Office of Alcoholics Anonymous or AA World Services. As Administrative Assistant with Bookkeeping Duties, you will assit with operations and finance, as well as provide customer service duties as needed.


Job Description

Responsibilities
  1. Administrative Support:
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, and reports.
  • Perform meeting, location and contact updates in administrative panel as needed.
  • Perform data entry for office pledges.
  • Answer incoming calls and emails, directing inquiries to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Create engaging social media content and monitor for customer inquiries and comments.
  • Provide onboarding support for weekend phone volunteers.
  1. Bookkeeping:
  • Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
  1. Customer Service:
  • Provide friendly and professional assistance to members and other visitors.
  • Learn process and fill in for literature sales checkout when needed.
  • Perform meeting updates in administrative panel as needed.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.

Education, Experience & Requirements
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or similar role.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and experience with bookkeeping software like QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Previous experience in customer service or client-facing roles is preferred.
  • Must have at least 3 years of sobriety.
  • Associate’s degree or relevant certification in administration, accounting, or a related field is a plus.
Working Hours
  • This is a full-time position, Monday thru Friday, from 9am to 5pm
Compensation
  • $47,000-$50,000/year
