Your Information

There are currently over 950 meetings in the AA Cleveland District Office service area. While any two alcoholics may form a meeting, an AA group must be established, stable, and able to carry out AA’s primary purpose—carrying the message to the alcoholic who still suffers. For this reason, it’s important that new groups are well-supported before being listed in the meeting schedule.

Before submitting a new group request, please consider:

• Is there already a group nearby with the same day, time, and format?
• Is a new group truly needed?
• Does the group have a stable core of home group members for at least six months?

Please note:

• Listed meetings must be open to all alcoholics (with allowable restrictions such as men-only or women-only).
• Groups should not be named after individuals or the facility where they meet.
• Choose a unique name to avoid confusion with other groups.

After submitting this form, office staff will contact you to verify the information during business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm). Registration with the AA Cleveland District Office does not constitute registration with the General Service Office in New York.
