How the Cleveland District Office Serves Our AA Community
July 8, 2026
Every day, someone reaches out for help with alcoholism.
It may be someone taking their first step toward recovery, a family member looking for answers, a healthcare professional seeking local AA resources, or an AA member searching for meeting information. Whatever the reason, one thing is certain: when someone calls, it’s important that someone answers.
The AA Cleveland District Office answers more than 15,000 calls each year, providing information about Alcoholics Anonymous, AA meetings in Cleveland, and recovery resources throughout Northeast Ohio.
Our AA help line provides:
- Information about Alcoholics Anonymous
- Local AA meeting times and locations
- Help for newcomers and their families
- Recovery literature and office services
- Information for healthcare professionals and treatment providers
- Coordination of 12-Step calls for individuals seeking help with a drinking problem
For many callers, contacting the Cleveland District Office is their first introduction to Alcoholics Anonymous. A caring voice and accurate information can help someone take the first step toward recovery.
More Than an AA Help Line
The Cleveland District Office exists to connect people with the Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous Cleveland. Our service area covers Cuyahoga, Geauga, and Lake counties. While we do not provide counseling, medical treatment, or professional addiction services, we help individuals find local AA meetings and connect with AA members who freely share their experience, strength, and hope.
When appropriate, we also coordinate 12-Step calls by connecting those seeking help with local AA members who are available to reach out and share the AA message.
Your Contributions Make This Possible
The Cleveland District Office is supported entirely by the voluntary contributions of local AA groups and members.
Every contribution helps ensure that anyone looking for help for alcoholism can reach a real person who can provide information and connect them with Alcoholics Anonymous.
Your support helps us:
- Answer more than 15,000 calls each year
- Maintain accurate AA meeting information
- Connect newcomers with local AA meetings
- Coordinate 12-Step calls
- Provide information to families, healthcare professionals, and the community
Together, we help ensure that no one seeking recovery has to face alcoholism alone.
When someone reaches out for help, we’re here to answer the call.
