Dear A.A. Community,

It has been my privilege and honor to be the Secretary-Treasurer of the Cleveland District Office for the past 26 years.

It is now time for me to retire and make room for a new director to continue the mission of the Cleveland District Office as well as all A.A. groups: “Tradition Five: Each group has but one primary purpose—to carry its message to the alcoholic who still suffers.”

The staff, Operating and Advisory Committees and our dedicated members have kept the Cleveland District Office running since January 27, 1945.

In these years, because of the collaborative efforts, the CDO has been able to build up a healthy prudent reserve that was able to withstand COVID, a digital presence that has been praised by other entities, an outreach and corrections committee to carry the message, a literature department that ships all over the country and most importantly a good reputation.

I will miss the daily contact I have with people who bring their energy and commitment to the office, but I will continue to travel with you “on that road to happy destiny”.

Thank you for allowing me to serve.

Ruth Dubin
